How Xameleon proxies for AI agents help

Location-aware access

Test how agents and apps behave for users in different markets.

Stable sessions

Keep an agent on the same IP for as long as a task needs.

Standard integration

Any browser automation, MCP server or agent framework that supports HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 proxies works.

Scalable throughput

Order more proxies to run more parallel tasks.

How to connect proxies to an AI agent

1

Connect your tool

Add proxy host, port and credentials to your agent or crawler.
2

Choose how the IP behaves

Keep the same IP for a whole task and change it on demand between tasks.
3

Set limits

Apply request budgets and delays so you stay within site rules.
4

Observe and refine

Track success rates and adjust concurrency.

Responsible use

Xameleon proxies are for lawful business use. Respect each website's terms of use and robots.txt, keep request rates reasonable, and follow our Acceptable Use Policy.

Proxies for AI agents: what they do and when to use them

AI agents and LLM tools reach the web through HTTP requests, headless browsers, search tools and MCP servers. The network decides what they see: many pages change by country, and a cloud server sits in one place only. Proxies for AI agents give you control over where requests come from. Our 4G mobile proxies use real carrier IPs and work over HTTP(S) and SOCKS5, with no SDK or special client.

Teams use them for research agents, evaluation of AI features in different markets, retrieval (RAG) pipelines that collect public documents, and monitoring jobs. The rules match any automated access: use public sources, follow robots.txt and site terms, respect licenses and keep request rates reasonable. Our Acceptable Use Policy lists what the service may not be used for.

Proxies for LLM tools: where they fit

Set the proxy wherever your tool makes outbound requests. Many HTTP clients honor the HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY environment variables, and browser automation tools accept a proxy in their launch options. An MCP server that fetches pages can use the same settings. The Python proxy tutorial shows sessions, SOCKS5, timeouts and retries you can reuse.

AI data pipelines: sessions, limits and cost

Give each task the IP behavior it needs. Keep the same IP while an agent works through a multi-step task, and change it on demand between independent tasks. Set a request budget and a concurrency cap per source, queue the work and back off when a site returns errors. Log the country and the proxy used for each task so you can reproduce a run later.

You pay per GB, so fetch text instead of full pages, deduplicate URLs and cache what you already have. The guide to rotating proxies automatically and the article on web scraping at scale cover these patterns in detail.

Responsible network access for AI crawlers

Crawlers that feed models carry extra responsibility. Honor robots.txt and opt-out signals, identify your crawler with an honest User-Agent header and a contact address, and stay inside each site's terms and rate limits. Check the license of every source before you use its data for training or analysis. Handle personal data under the privacy rules that apply to you. Keep proxy credentials in environment variables or a secrets manager, never in prompts, tool descriptions or logs. Our guide to secure and responsible proxy use explains how.

How to start with proxies for LLM tools

Start small. Pick the country your sources or users are in; we are launching in the United States, Ukraine and Moldova, with more locations coming soon. Choose a plan type and the amount of traffic or the rental period. Proxies for AI agents scale by ordering more proxies for more parallel tasks. Compare plans and per-country prices or buy mobile proxies in a few steps. If you provision infrastructure from code, join the waitlist for the planned proxy management API.
